Hello and welcome to iSveum.com! My name is Matt Sveum, and I am a recent graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, where I earned a Master of Arts in economics. I was born and raised in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, a suburb of Madison, Wisconsin. I attended Verona Area High School, graduating in May of 2003. After graduation, I went on to Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I initially intended to be a communications major, but fell in love with economics after taking Principles of Macroeconomics in the spring of my freshman year. After switching my major to economics, I took as many economics classes as I could. During the spring semester of my junior year, I spent six months in London attending Queen Mary, University of London in a study abroad program. My semester abroad taught me a lot about myself and the world around me. Upon returning to Hamline, I completed a departmental honors paper entitled Rolling Back Prices: Wal-Mart’s Ability to Change the Amount Consumers Pay.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, golfing, playing with technology, and cooking.
